Even if you forget to drink out of it, it’ll always be there for you.

Yes! Being dehydrated has been linked to an increased risk of depression and anxiety. (Your body needs water to function properly, so this checks out!) 

Water bottles for adults are equivalent to stuffed animals for children. It’s comforting to know it’s always there for you when you need it!

Sidenote: an emotional support water bottle isn’t a replacement for therapy, it’s simply another tool in your arsenal.

Even if you only put plain water in your water bottle, you should wash it at least once a week. Other sources will tell you to wash it once a day, but who has time for that? Once a week is realistic. (Or, if it starts to smell like dirt, that’s also a good indicator that it should be washed.)

If you’re putting flavored water, juice, and other liquids in your water bottle, be sure to wash it more regularly.
